Privacy notice

Birthday Video Creator turns the memories and photos you give us into one private film. We only use them for that film. This notice explains what we keep, who helps us make the film, and when everything is deleted.

What we collect

• The answers you type about the birthday person, and the names you mention.
• The photos you upload, with their captions and the years you add.
• Your email address, so we can send you the film.
• If you add the birthday date and ask for reminders, your reminder email address. If you choose to send the film to the birthday person on the day, their email address too. We use them only to send those emails for this film.
• A cookie that keeps your project open in this browser. There is no account and no tracking.

Your answers may include details about other people, such as family members. Please only share what you have permission to share.

Who helps us make the film

• OpenAI drafts the captions from your answers. We never send it your photos.
• Polar handles payment. We never see your card details.
• Unosend delivers the email with your film link.

We don’t sell your data or use it to train AI models, and we ask our providers not to either.

How long we keep it

• Projects that are never ordered are deleted 7 days after you last worked on them. If you asked for reminders, we keep the draft until the reminders have been sent.
• Reminder and recipient email addresses are deleted with the project. Reminders stop when you order or ask us to stop, and the birthday person’s address is used only to send them the film.
• After the film is delivered, the original photos are deleted after 30 days.
• The finished film stays available at its private link so your family can keep watching it.
• Backups roll over, so deleted data leaves them within 14 days.

Your choices

You can delete your project at any time with the “Delete this project” button on the preview or watch page. It removes the photos, answers, story and film straight away. For anything else, write to [email protected].
